Speed Dating in Msia Public Uni?

Was having drink with SJ in University of Sheffield Student Union pub yesterday and saw about this speed dating thing. In fact, it was actually a speed dating going on. Candle light is everywhere. Kinda romantic ambience. See student were coupled up and spoke to each other in their little space. As in the advert, this speed dating is for Postgraduate and Mature Students. I was trying to quickly snap some pictures but being forbid-ed by SJ. Haha.

Right, the only point I am thinking..Hmm...This will never happen in any public universities in Malaysia due to the Islamic state unless you are studying in those private colleges. Muslims are the majorities in public universities though. And I guess this is prohibited according to Syariah law.

I remembered that time when I was studying in University Putra Malaysia, all our prom nights were organised 'outside the university'. We usually will reserved a ballroom in hotel and have this activity. It has nothing wrong but it will be imposible for you to book any place in the University as you will never get approved.

Guess this is just the way it is. Just a thought.... ^.^
