07072011 My graduation day!!!

Finally it is the day! My graduation day! Since last December (after my MSc project presentation), I have been anticipating for this moment…I guess my parents are too.

I haven’t slept well since the Monday… I wasn’t sure whether I was too excited or too nervous..
On that day, I was pretty nervous about the weather. BBC weather forecast was saying there would be a heavy rain at Reading. It was raining when I departed from London. I wished that god will give me a sunny day so I can capture nicer pictures…

When we arrived at Reading station, I looked up to the sky and pretty upset… then my lovely dad came to me and say ‘No worries, daughter. I have prayed to god. He will give you a good weather.’ I looked at him, wasn’t sure this could be right. But I thanked him for praying for me..
Guess what! It worked! The sun came out once we arrived at the Great Hall. And we managed to take some very good pictures :)

Then I have to hand my parents to Bee as I need to get ready as I was summoned to the procession room. I was excited when got to know that we, the masters will go on stage first…usually it will be the PhDs to go on stage first, follow by the Masters, then the undergraduate..In fact, I was the fifth to go on stage.. :)

When I walked into the hall, I didn’t feel nervous but I was excited.. When I heard my name, then I was carefully walked to stage…coz I was in my 4ich heels and my dress was restricting my walk, I need to walk very slow and in small step..So it took slightly longer than others to go on stage…haha.. I paused a bit when shaking the vice chancellor hand anyway…coz I forgot to say thank you, turned right and left the stage…lol..

The ceremony took about 35 minutes..then we just continue taking pictures outside the hall..

Then, we had something to eat, and heading back to the faculty for the reception drink…

The highlight was I got the best project award! Haha! It was quite embarrassing as I was a bit carried away with my speech…I don’t know that I need to give speech..but I can tell my parents were happy…mom was tearing as expected…

So that’s it…one year hard work and done with the graduation ceremony! I feel that I am the happiest girl in the world.. having my friend and family with me..
