Royal Wedding 2011

This is the second memorable and historical event I witness in the UK. First was the General election last year, which I didn't bother to participate although I have the right to vote, as part of the Commonwealth nationalities. Second was the Royal Wedding 2011, also, I didn’t bother to get to London, to be part of the crowd. However, I woke up early this morning to witness the event on BBC One and feeling the atmosphere.

I think I only get to know about Prince William after her mother lady Diana death. I got to know that he is actually at my age, since then I started reading about him. He is most girls’ prince, to be upmost honest; he was once my prince too. Maybe that is one of the reasons that bring me to UK. Lol. It is a great pleasure really, witnessing his big day with his love ones.

I watched a few documentaries telling William & Kate love story before the royal wedding. I am glad for the couple. I understood that they actually broke up for a short period before getting back together. I always believe that a relationship has the highest possibility to last if it is mended after and break up. I was having the same conversation with my best gf recently; it seems to happen to her and her bf.

I always being described as my friends that ‘I am a bird with no legs’ (一只没有脚的小鸟). Not my choice though. I wish my legs will grow sometimes when I am ready....

Easter Shopping

I really need to shop or have a bit of retail therapy as life is yet to be settled again. I am working hard to make it settles, it seems like I just have to work harder :)

As I don’t have friends here in Reading, I just took a day off walking around Reading town centre, entered every shops that I can, did my shopping analysis and picked up stuff that worth the best price! Ha!

Also, a tip for small medium size Asian ladies (size like me) to shop in the UK. You may want to check out the kids section, coz I find it I hardly fit in UK size 8 or 10 sometimes.

Not getting much as not many sales in stores... At least I have student discount for New Look, Gap and DP stuff... too bad Superdry is not doing student discount

Gap shirt for £3.99
Dorothy Perkins shorts for £13.50 (after 10% student discount)

Love this dress (£24.99 original price, I got it in £9, well worth!!!!)

Small Cardigan from New Look (less than £10 after student discount)
Singlet from New Look (less than £2 after student discount)

Good Friday at Brighton

I am glad that Bee took me out on bike to Brighton on GoodFriday (22 April 2011). We had booked a date on our calendar about a month ago. Let me rephrase, it is me booking a date on his diary as he is always a busy bee! :)

The route riding from Thatcham to Brighton was absolutely beautiful. Plus the weather was pretty nice! What else you can ask for riding across the lovely country side? Of course it was not me riding, I was a passenger, sitting behind and humming songs that I didn’t even know the lyric..lol

We set off at about 1045 and arrived at 1340.

About to set off

Bee bought a new boots! Yay, my feet will not be hurting again in the old boots!

Taking a break before continuing our journey! It was funny to see 3 ducklings stopped the traffic. No pictures were taken as I was busy eating my ice lolly! Ha!

Arriving at the Brighton Pier! Can you spot the ‘fei lou’ (fat man)?

Time for some luncheon! Bee, stop checking out the ‘lady butterfly’ in front of you! Haha!

Absolutely no idea what I was doing with my food

Queuing up for toilet! In between an American and Indonesian? Their expression was perfect!

Arriving at the Royal Pavillion

Time for afternoon nap

This chap has a good voice! Keeping us entertain

What a beautiful picture

My fav picture! My signature jump in front of the Royal Pavillion :)

ice cream + coke and it is time to go back home! We left at 1730...

All and all, I want to thank Bee for taking me out on bike to Brighton on Friday. A big thank you to Bee. The trip was relaxing, walking under the sun, at least I wasn’t thinking about 'situations' and 'strategies' for at least a few hours walking around Brighton. My apologies if I am pestering too much for this and that. I am not demanding, but it is just me! A noisy and crazy C as usual :)
