Chekie PaMa Fabulous Holiday 2011: UK (the arrival)

After not seeing my parents for more than 1.5 years, finally they arrived on the 6th July 11. I was excited that day. I could the smile on my face all day. After packing my stuff, as we were going to stay at my Uncle Seng’s for a week before we started our holiday on the 10th at Rome, I took Rail Air to the airport.

My parent’s flight was expected to land at 1615. I managed to arrive at 1515. I took a look on the arrival board. Wow! The MH004 would be landed early at 1530. I couldn’t be happier than that. I squeezed into the arrival corridor and kept looking at the arrival gate!

Ta la! After waiting for more than an hour, my eye got tired as I kept staring at the arrival gate, finally I met with them. I jumped in and gave them the biggest hug and kiss ever! According to my parent, this was due to the long wait at the immigration counters.

As my parents were still in jet lag, therefore I had decided not to tour them too much during their stay in UK.

Also, my cutie cute mom broke her glasses on the plane. So our first mission was to get mom a new pair of glasses.. Haha! I had to keep reminding them, the shop will only make you glasses if you have the prescription or you have to take an eye test that is not free, as my parents thought the totally opposite. In Malaysia, we will have free eye test and the opticians don’t usually provide you the official prescription. I and dad were having a bit of fun looking at mom taking her eye test. Mom can speak English however she wasn’t used to the British ascent. However, I would like her to pick up the language. Therefore, I only offer my help when needed. Lol.

And of course taking my two wonderful cuties to their favourite roasted duck rice restaurant

We did a bit shopping and walking around London.

My dad’s best bit, sitting at the bus stop while waiting me and my mom finishing the shopping. Lol

And this one, absolutely amazing. He hardly read and write English, but he was reading English Newspaper. Lol! Was he reading or just looking at the pictures? Sorry dad…haha!

I also took them to Oxford by train. By the look of this picture, you can imagine they were still on jet lag that time :)

Oxford was pretty that day. We hardly squeezed into the high street fast food chain. Eventually we had a brilliant idea, which was getting the £3pp meal deal at Saintsbury. I guess this was the first time my parents experiencing having ‘lunch’ on the street

Poser!!!! Now you understand why I like to pose so much!

Lovely!!!

A scene that touched our heart
