This is my first audition outside my home country. Just give a try to a coming drama production - An Ideal Husband, playing Lady Getrude Chiltern.
My major concerns before walking in to HumSs Van Emden theatre was I am a bit lack in diction. This is a classic comedy, so diction does play an important part in this drama. Obviously am not fitting in terms of outlook as well as I suppose the character should be English people.
I love drama performance too much. Without further a due, I just gave a try. The funny part was when the guard in the building asked me: Where are you from? I guess they can give you a cast of communist...! I told him that am from Malaysia and just wondering how is the drama production here in the UK, so just pop by to have a look.
I was glad that I partnered with Nancy. Thank her for explaining me the script and the gist of it, so I can easily act with correct 'emotion'. She is very good :)
I don't think Ill get the part, however, I am glad that I make this attempt to try something new. Am quite suprise I am not nervous and not feeling shy at all.. The panel likes my grasp and ask me not to hold back when acting. lol!
I requested the panel judges (heads of the society) to take my audition video.
Specially dedicated this to Kel, my best buddy who always partnering me in audition during those old days. Hope you like it :)
