Goodbye 2008

Just finished watching the 15 minutes spectacular fireworks in London Eye from BBC One. Feel like going out watching live in London Eyes however, the weather seems like a bit too cold for my parents, so we decided to stay in.

2008 was a fantastic year for me. Lots of things happen out of my expectation. Never thought that I can have a chance to work in London (thanks to BAT GSD for giving me this opportunity), working with great team and colleagues (Helen A, Lee H, Will M etc), and met someone (CCF) special in my life .



I feel grateful for having 100% support always from friends and family wherever and whenever I am and whatever I do.

Dad & Mom - Thanks for visiting me and celebrating Christmas and New Year with me in London.
Doris - Thanks for always taking care of me. My best Zimui ever.
Cammy C, Isaac Yeh - Thanks for always listen to me whenever I have challenges especially the time in oversea
Ken W, Loke F, Chan Y - Happy to meet you trio in London. Having good time with you guys very much.

Looking forward for challenges ahead for 2009. Best wishes for 2009!

Monkey: Journey to the West

Brought my parents to watch the Monkey: Journey to the West Opera in The O2 (Nearest Tube Station: North Greenwich) today.

The opera was great, what a combination of the west and east. Several factors of combination:
- The opera was in Mandarin with English subtitle
- The music was composed with Western and Eastern Musical Instruments.
- The opera was in Western Musical style but communicated in Mandarin

The amazing part was the Chinese Acrobatic Stunt...and of course the graphic animation and props. The part I like the most is the Buddha's Palm. When Sun Wu Kong (Great Sage) was too mischievous and he was punished by the Buddha and trapped under the Buddha's palm. The turning of Buddha's Palm, the Buddha's status and props were great in visual.

And most important is the ticket price is worth. Ticket bought was only 10 quid per person. :)

致命伤

想不到一个在台上不回怯场的小安，竟然在最关键的 Evaluation Presentation 中垮了。

'A non stage fright person screwed herself in a presentation'

这也是我拿不到 Exceed 的致命伤。

难过，当然！因为她对自己的的期望相当高，这仗输得太冤枉了。

但是，他们另一个评语是：Lack of Confident. 我得承认这是我对自己的语言能力没信心，所以在当天表现失常。

我会吸取这次教训。八个字形容：勤能补拙，拉长补短。

接下来的挑战会更大，希望万事如意。亲爱的人事部，请你们快快延长我的工作准证，我想到上次我也显了。
